Latin America outperforms Europe in coronavirus cases

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported 106,000 new COVID 19 cases in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the pandemic began, with Latin America as the area with most cases concentrated in several countries. The coronavirus clusters in Latin America indicate how the epicenter has been changing starting in China, the country where the pandemic originated, moving to Europe and then to the United States and eventually concentrating in Latin America. Brazil is the country with the highest number of infections in the region and number three globally. On Tuesday, it recorded 1,179 deaths, the highest number per day. Later on, the Ministry of Health confirmed additional deaths outside of the 24-hour period. |
