This year, National Farmers´ Market Week was held from August 2-8. As an essential service, our local farmers markets make shopping for healthy, Alaska grown foods safe and convenient.
The Anchorage Health Department promotes eating healthy and encourages us to follow safe social distancing practices and wear face coverings while shopping. Markets throughout Anchorage accept WIC or Senior Farmers’ Market Coupons. Grow North Farms offers half off for SNAP purchases on Tuesdays and offers a weekly produce box, online orders and curbside pickup.
To learn more about SNAP at the farm or how to place your order visit https://bit.ly/weekly-boxes or call (907) 865-5213. To start your application for WIC visit muni.org/wic or call 343-4668.
