One new case of COVID-19 reported in FairbanksMay 2, 2020
The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) today announced one new case of COVID-19 in Alaska, in the community of Fairbanks. This brings the total case count to 365. A total of 21,399 tests have been conducted. This reflects data from 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on May 1 that posted at noon today on the DHSS Coronavirus Response AK COVID-19 Cases and Testing Dashboard. The new case is a male, aged 60-69. There have been a total of 36 hospitalizations and nine deaths with no new deaths or additional hospitalizations yesterday. There was a new hospitalization recorded yesterday but as a result of data verification efforts another hospitalization was removed, so the net result is no additional hospitalizations.
