U.S. government financial aid begins to arrive to citizens and residents
April 15, 2020
The U.S. Government's financial aid has started to reach the bank accounts of eligible citizens and residents following the economic damage caused by the Coronavirus in the country. U.S. industrial production has sharply declined, after the closure of many factories in March. The world's largest economy began issuing one-time payments this week to tens of millions of people as part of its $2.2 trillion Coronavirus relief package. Employees who earn up to $75,000 per year are eligible for a $1,200 payment and married couples filing together and earning up to $150,000 may receive $2,400. People with dependents of up to 16 years will get $500 for each of them. Checks are currently being deposited into bank accounts and physical checks will be mailed to households in the coming weeks, depending on how people filed their tax returns. The "Get My Payment" app allows you to check if you are eligible for the stimulus payment of up to $1,200 per person, depending on income and marital status. by Sol de Medianoche |
