LATIN VOTE IN FAIRBANKS
One of the greatest privileges that we have as citizens of this country is the right to participate in local, state and national elections.
We have the freedom to VOTE for those we believe to have the maturity, good morals, education, experience and above all the empathy and altruism to listen, understand and work humbly for the community. I particularly want to emphasize to our Latinx and Spanish-speaking community to exercise their right to choose the candidates who best represent the interests of the people. Candidates who don’t just look for us when they need our votes to win. This is our opportunity as citizens to choose candidates who know the importance of inclusion and value what we contribute daily with our work, our taxes and the non-profit service that many of us give to the community. All elected officials must understand that for our community, our state and our country to thrive in social and economic capital, they must value our contributions and also practice inclusion. Hispanics want and must be part of the solution.
