Alaska Department of Health Confirms 321 Positive Covid-19 Cases

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) confirmed on Monday, April 20, 2020, two new cases of Coronavirus, one in Chugiak and the other in Palmer, bringing the state's total number of positive cases to 321.
 
Eight new cases were also reported as recovered, and no new hospitalizations or deaths from the virus were reported.
 
The cases reported on Monday are a man in Palmer between the ages of 30 and 39, and the other one is a woman in Chugiak aged 60 to 69. At the moment it is not known where they may have acquired the virus, both cases are under investigation.
 
The report also breaks down the number of tests performed to detect the virus in past days:
 
 - April 19, 225
 - April 18, 245
- April 17, 398
- April 16, 834
 
According to data reported by DHSS, of the 321 positive cases in Alaska, 68 are due to community spread, 89 are travel-related, 114 are secondary infections and 50 are under investigation.
 
10,124 statewide tests have been conducted so far.
