Una beca del presidente de UA ofrecida con la colaboración
​de Enlaces y Latinos Unidos del Norte (LUDN). ​

Enlaces y LUDN piden solicitudes de estudiantes para recibir hasta $1,500 por semestre,
​2 semestres consecutivos en el sistema de UA (UAA, UAF, UAS). 
 
Fecha límite para solicitudes: 31 mayo 2020 a la medianoche (por e-mail)
 
Requerimientos mínimos: 
Estudiantes de licenciatura en cualquier campus del sistema de UA
Residente de los EE.UU y un año entero de residencia en Alaska.
No ser recipiente previo de esta beca (UA President’s Scholarship).
Ser estudiante de tiempo completo en cada semestre de inscripción (12 créditos o más).
Ser estudiante de primera o segunda generación (padres o abuelos son inmigrantes a los EE.UU.)
Tener al menos un promedio de 2.5 cumulativo (incluye el promedio de notas de escuela preparatoria si solicita como Freshman)  

Elección del recipiente de la beca está basada en:
Valor en el patrimonio cultural del solicitante.
Declaración de necesidades financieras del solicitante para cumplir sus estudios en la universidad.
Intención del solicitante para cumplir sus estudios de licenciatura.
Interés del solicitante en el servicio comunitario y participación en actividades extracurriculares.
Entrevista del solicitante.

For immediate release

UA President’s Scholarship offered through partnership with
Enlaces and Latinos Unidos del Norte (LUDN). 

Enlaces and LUDN is soliciting applications for a scholarship that offers up to $1,500 per consecutive semester towards tuition in the UA system (UAA, UAF, UAS). 
 
Deadline for application:  31 May 2020 at midnight (by email)
 
Minimum requirements: 
Be an undergraduate student seeking a bachelor’s degree in any campus of the UA system.
Be a resident of the US, with one full year residency established in Alaska.
Must not be a current or former recipient of a UA Scholars Award
Must maintain continuous full-time enrollment each regular semester (12 credits or more)
Be a first- or second-generation student (parents or grandparents immigrated to the USA).
Have at least a 2.5 grade point cumulative average. (including high school if applying as a freshman)
 
Selection of Scholarship Recipient will be based in part upon:
Value placed upon cultural heritage by the applicant.
Student’s statement of financial need for college.
Intent of applicant to pursue a baccalaureate degree.
Applicant’s interest in community service and extracurricular activities.
