About the author:
Raquel Polanco is a Hispanic-American poet and a freelance writer based in Anchorage, Alaska who is continually inspired by God, humpback whales, Jupiter, traveling, and paper planes. Her life of travels and creativity is filled with laughter, passionate exploration, curls, plant-based eateries, empathy, intentional connections, self-love, self-care, and lots of faith. She believes that storytelling is our birthright and poetry is the sacred path towards empathy and healing.  ​
